Buying ND filters from a manufacturer
This page covers ND filter procurement intent. It does not repeat the ND specification table, because that table belongs on the product page: neutral density filters, where the documented wavelength range of 200 to 1000 nm, the ND value range of ND 0.1 to 4, and the size rule of customization according to customer needs are listed. Procurement teams should read that page first, then use this page to structure the buying inquiry.
What an ND procurement inquiry contains
An ND inquiry should state the ND value or values needed, the wavelength range the application covers, the size needed, and the system the filter will sit in, such as a measuring instrument, a laser path, a camera or imaging system, a security monitoring system, or an optical communication path. It should also state the quantity basis and the delivery basis to be confirmed. Stating the system matters because the same ND value can serve different systems, and the supplier needs the context to check the requirement rather than supply a value in isolation.
Selection help
For selection within the documented range, see the neutral density filter selection guide and the neutral density filter applications note. For general filter buying, see the optical filter manufacturer page. To start, use the inquiry form below, and please confirm the ND value, wavelength range, size, quantity basis, and delivery basis in your inquiry before ordering.
